Dear Diary – 20120215

THU – I did change the opening of Married to Death. I liked what I had but it needed more of a punch and I think I have it now. Re-writing is harder than writing.FRI – I went to the gym every day this week except Wednesday – that’s four days. I look forward to reading while I walk and my knees and legs are feeling much better. It helps that the gym is five minutes away.SAT – I took The Codes to the Vet. His ears are so messed up. He’s back on antibiotics and steroids. Monday he will be anaesthetised so they can scrape his ears out.

SUN – The living room is painted. I didn’t do it. QV and his brother did. The walls are a champagne color – light and refreshing, neutral and bright, clean.

I ordered magnets with my brand on them. I am all set for when I become a famous writer. My marketing firm can run with my image. I’d like to make keyrings with my little green butterfly on it too.

Now I just need to finish a publishable book.

MON – The Codes had his Vet appointment today. Even thought the doctor said he could barely get a Q-Tip in his ears, we still have a chance to save his ears if we diligently put special anti-biotic wash in them. I hope so. The alternative is to have the ears removed which would make The Codes completely deaf.

TUE – I am so sick and tired of reading resumes. The Internet is good for many things such as ease of access but it also makes things so easy that people don’t take any care.

Imagine going through 600 applications: a third are from people who obviously didn’t read the ad because their objectives tell me they are applying for a completely different job; another third have resumes that are so bad my head hurt – don’t tell me you have “attention to detail” and then spell detail wrong.

WED – I am so boring I bore myself. What can I do to make my day more exciting? Really, I need some ideas.

*** The picture is the design I made for the cover art of my novel Married to Death. The tag line reads, “Roses are red, violets are blue, not even Death can keep me from you.”
