Flash 55 – Blue Gill

He marked his life by the important annual events.
Time between passed like a dead perch floating on a slow moving river just before it sank to the bottom of the water to rot.
“You drink like a fish!”
She yelled the accusation each time he refilled a mug.
Time to switch to a glass.

You do well with both graphics and writing. It is always fun for me to actually see a metaphor. And it is an interesting concept how we have holidays and celebrations used during the year like mile markers on the road to tell where we are.
