What’s Real?

My poem inspired by the image above:

What’s Real?

Read between
the edges
see what’s behind
the reflections flung
into the world
what will you find?
Is there substance
to keep you satisfied
more than a day
an hour
a minute?
Can you shatter
the glass that keeps
us from one another
wave your hand
plunge it through
the surface
reach the depths
of what is?
Are your eyes open
your mind clear
questing for
a truth beyond
the words
printed
on the air?

  1. I like the approach you took with this prompt. You pose very relevant questions about life and the way it is lived.

  2. “Can you shatter
    the glass that keeps
    us from one another
    wave your hand
    plunge it through
    the surface
    reach the depths
    of what is?”

Love this and the rest…excellent response to this photograph. 🙂
